The oil is intended for new and pre-oiled wooden surfaces outdoors, such as terraces, garden furniture, cladding, etc., for basic treatment and maintenance. The oil can be used for traditional wood species such as pine and larch, as well as for exotic species such as teak, mahogany and Brazil walnut. Pigmented oil is ideal for restoring old wood surfaces, as it restores the original color of the wood. The special water-based composition of the oil ensures that it can be diluted with water and is environmentally friendly. The oil improves the natural color and texture of wood. The oil is available in both natural and several other colors. The oil dries quickly, protects against UV, creating a strong, water and dirt repellent surface.
Directions for use: Softwoods that are not impregnated under pressure must be primed with WOCA Exterior Wood Primer before treatment. 1) Before treatment with oil, clean new as well as old wooden surfaces with WOCA Exterior Wood Cleaner. 2) Allow the wood to dry for at least 24 hours so that the moisture level does not exceed 17%. Sand all uneven areas with 120 grit sandpaper. 3) Apply only in dry weather, min. temp. 13 ° C. Avoid direct sunlight and high
temperatures. 4) Stir the oil thoroughly before use. 5) Apply an even and thin layer of oil using a brush. Treat the ends of the wood first. Undried oil may be white. The lubricating effect will be visible as soon as the water evaporates, it may take a few minutes. 6) Wipe off excess oil with a clean cotton cloth after no more than 5 minutes. In particular, be sure to remove excess oil from the joints and grooves. 7) If the surface does not appear to be completely saturated with oil, repeat steps 5 and 6. 8) To make the surface particularly durable, after the wood is completely dry, it can be polished with a polishing pad or polishing machine. 9) It takes 24 to 48 hours for the oil to fully harden, depending on the weather and outside temperature. During this period, the wood must not be exposed to water. Caution (for furniture): Please note that when choosing a shade of black, anthracite or walnut, it is recommended to finish it with a natural shade at the end to avoid excessive color fading. Surface care and maintenance: If necessary, repeat the oil treatment after a while. Start by cleaning the surface with WOCA Exterior Wood Cleaner. Then follow the instructions above. Risk of spontaneous combustion: Due to the risk of spontaneous combustion, it is important that cloths moistened with oil are moistened and disposed of in a tightly closed container after use.
